STEAM TRACED TUBING

Similar to electrical traced tubing bundle, steam traced tubing bundle are also used to compensate the heat loss using steam as energy source. A steam tracer is either of copper or stainless steel tube. These tubes are wrapped with a thermal insulation made of several layers covered with a choice of outer jacket material according to the client’s requirement.

There are various applications available for stream traced tubing bundles in various type of industries. In this system customer has to remove condensate at various intervals based upon the design of the steam traced tubing bundle.

Two different types of Steam Traced Tubing Bundles
1. Heavy Steam Traced Bundle:

Steam tracer tube and process tube are in direct contact with each other. Heavy steam traced bundle normally used for high temperature steam which needs heat up as the requirement. This provide solution for pressure transmission and analyzer sample lines.

2. Light Steam Traced Bundle:

Steam tracer tube and process tube are separated from each other. Light steam traced bundle offers stable process temperature and freeze protection for water line, light oil, paraffin, oil of paraffin and other chemicals which are sensitive to temperature and chemicals. This provide the most ideal solution for freeze-protection, maintaining viscosity, etc.

Rating & Performance

Techwin International pre-insulated tubes and tube bundles maintains outer jacket temperature(personnel protection temperature) under 60°C and maintains inner process (fluid) temperature over 204°C. We use insulation material as fiber glass, aerogel that endures over 1200°F (649°C).

Insulation

We use non-hygroscopic fiber glass insulation in normal cases and where there are high process temperatures i.e. over 400°C, we use aerogel insulation. For more specific insulation details kindly contact our representatives.

Outer FR-PVC Jacket

We use UV resistant FR-PVC Jacket that protects the tubing against corrosive atmospheres, water, oils, acids, alkalies and most chemicals. Min./Max. allowable exposure temperature is -40~105°C, allowable surface temperature is 80°C.
